Google Chrome may not allow your device to access the internet on Windows 10 firewall due to several reasons like connectivity problems, browser history, or cookies may be blocking the internet. Your Firewall or Antivirus may also block network access on the Chrome browser on your system. Sometimes when you attempt to access the network through Google Chrome, you may get the error message stating, "Windows Firewall has blocked some features of this app," but it is not even that clear what has caused the issues. You can try to reboot your system if you face problems while accessing the network using the Chrome browser. If your issue persists, here is how to unblock Firewall on Google Chrome by following the steps below.


Steps to Solve Firewall Blocking Issue on Google Chrome

Try to check the permissions and solve the issues for Google Chrome on your Windows Firewall through these steps.


1. Check Permissions through Windows Defender

First, launch the Windows Defender Firewall pane.

Next, select the 'Allow an app' or feature to open the Allowed apps and features list.

Now, click on the 'Change Settings' link available in the window.

Then, ensure to check all the boxes for Google Chrome if not already checked and click 'OK.'

These steps will help you in resolving Firewall blocking Google Chrome trouble.


2. Uninstall VPN Software 

Uninstalling the VPNs software can also assist you in solving the Chrome Firewall block issue. 

First, type appwiz.cpl on the Run window, and select OK.

Now, on the uninstaller windows, open the VPN software.

Then, select the 'Uninstall' option to remove the software and click 'Yes' to confirm.

Then, restart your PC. Now, you need to delete the remaining VPN network.

Further, type ncpa.cpl command in the Run window and click OK. This will launch the 'Network Connections Window.'

Now, right-click on the VPN Connection to find the 'Delete' option and click on it.

These steps will delete the VPN software, and you will access the internet on the windows firewall.


3. Resolve Windows 10 Firewall Blockage Problem by Disabling VPN

You can disable the VPN adapters to solve this issue by following the below steps.

First, open the ‘WinX’ menu by pressing and holding Windows and X keys and selecting 'Device Manager.'

Search for the 'Networks adapters' option in the Device Manager Window and click right on that link.

Now click on the 'Disable device' option, and by completing these steps, you will be able to obtain the network on the Chrome browser.

 

4. Disable Chrome Extensions

First, turn off the Chrome extensions and ads blocker to solve the issues with the Windows Firewall.

Now, on the Google Chrome software, open the 'Customize Google Chrome' option.

Then, move to 'More Tools' and select 'Settings' to open the settings window of Google Chrome.

Then, click the button to turn off the extensions or click the 'Remove link' to disable the Chrome extensions at the bottom right. Now, open chrome to see if that resolves your problems.


5. Restore Google Chrome Default Settings

You can restore the settings to their default value by resetting Google Chrome, automatically disabling the extensions, and solving the network blocking issues in Windows 10 Firewall.

First, open your Google Chrome and then go to 'Customize Google Chrome,' and then choose the 'Settings' option.

Now, select the 'Advanced' button, and find and click on the 'Restore settings' to their original defaults option.

Now, click on the 'Reset settings' button, and you will change the Chrome settings to by default and access the network smoothly.
